Join in an exploration of how humans approach relationships and experience the emotion of love from a historical perspective. While examining how love both shifts and remains the same during different eras and across cultures, we will place a special focus on how modernity has impacted our formation of relationships and understanding of love.
Beyond romantic love, this class will also take in to consideration the many ways this emotion is defined and expressed, such as platonic, familial, and unconditional. Both cynics and romantics alike are invited to join for this lecture and discussion on love throughout history and the modern age.
