Virtual Salon: History as Amusement

Join us for a Virtual Salon on June 30th at 7 pm EST to discuss the ways in which history serves as a source of amusement! From film and television to historical re-enactments to fashion, the ways in which we play with the past are endless. Maya will offer a special, brief presentation on Freedomland U.S.A. (an American-history theme park in the 1960s Bronx) as an example to get things started and then we’ll open it up for conversation and contemplation.

Register to receive optional preparation materials and questions to contemplate in advance. This event is open to everyone at no cost! A suggested donation of $5-20 can be made via Venmo @Maya-Rook
