Join us for a donation-based Community Yoga session! Maya will lead participants in an all-levels practice to help connect mind, breath, and body through movement. The first half will be active but gentle. For the second half we’ll move through a handful of restorative yoga poses while special guest Void offers sound through the healing frequencies of crystal singing bowls.
This session is free with a suggested donation of $15-30 via cash or Venmo @maya-rook. Please note the suggested donation is slightly higher this month as we have two teachers leading the session. For those who are able to make a donation, it helps support our teachers, the community space, and our ability to offer more free and low-cost events.

Meet Your Teachers:
Maya Rook is a certified yoga instructor with over 25 years of meditation experience. She is passionate about making meditation and yoga practices accessible to everyone, breaking through misconceptions about mindfulness, and helping people connect with the present moment through breath and movement Her yoga and meditation classes are also supported by her work as a cultural historian and college educator. Participants have described Maya’s approach as welcoming, vibrant, creative, playful, humorous, delightful, informative, and fun. After attending a session with Maya, you will walk away with new knowledge, a deeper connection to yourself and others, and some fresh perspective in how you view the world around you.
